Design Contest for New Club Logo

As suggested by several members, we are looking for a new club logo. The requirements are

• Simple design evoking Flagstaff, the same way our Ice in the Pines logo does
• Must say "Flagstaff Figure Skating Club" in legible type
• No more than two colors- such as blue and green
• Looks good on the back of a jacket or T shirt, on a large banner, and as an in-ice logo of 8 by 8 feet

Deadline is March 1, 2012. You can hand your design to any board member. The board will pick the winner at the March board meeting. Antoinette and Natalie have volunteered to turn the winning design into professional artwork.

Volunteer of the Month

Lindsey Kaufman

Thank you Lindsey for volunteering your laptop and saving the music at the Holiday Exhibition!

The board will select a Volunteer of the Month and a Skater of the Month from nominations submitted by members. Submit a name and the reason for the nomination (exceptional accomplishment for the club, achievement as a skater, courtesy to other members, etc) by dropping a note in the club drop box.
