Several members have expressed concern about being able to make our 3:15 pm weekday sessions, especially on Mondays, and have asked if we could have early morning session(s). I've checked and we could have a 60 or 75-minute session at 6:00 or 6:15 am on Tuesdays, or possibly Mondays. If we did this we'd cancel the Monday afternoon session.
In the past, we've had too low a turnout at early morning sessions to justify them. If we give up Monday afternoon we probably won't get it back this season because FHYA will take it.
Please let us know if you would prefer a morning session to Monday afternoon. If we don't get enough responses we will drop the idea.

As some of you know I have been working on some fundraising ideas for the club to start a scholarship fund for the skaters. We are still working up the final details on how the application will work, however I think that it will be a great benefit for the club. I will be sure to keep you all updated as soon as we have all the details. To kick off the fundraising I will have skate deodorizers available for sale. They include a set of deodorizers and a spray for them. (lavender, citrus, or tea tree) The spray will disinfect and the inserts will absorb moisture to help eliminate stinky skates! (they are all natural of course, scented with essential oils and not synthetic fragrance) I wanted to be sure and let our club have first dibs on these since we will have them for sale at Ice in the Pines as well. I have attached a picture so you can see what they look like. I so have other prints available too. If you are interested please let me know! The set is $20.00 and 10% will go to the club to start the scholarship fund.
If you have any questions at all please let me know!

Thank you Morgan for speaking in front of the City Council and helping keep our ice fees from being raised!
