Learn To Skate Group Classes
Whether you want to skate casually or try figure skating or ice hockey, our
US Figure Skating-approved group lessons are a low-cost way to start
having fun on the ice.
All ages and levels are welcome!
- When: Classes run all year and start on the first Wednesday of January, March, May, July, September, and November
- Duration: Classes run for six weeks on Wednesdays from 4:45 to 5:15 PM
Location: Jay Lively Ice Arena- see Club Ice for location and a map
- Cost: $57 which includes Basic Skills membership in US Figure Skating ($45 for current FFSC or Basic Skills members)
Before you know it, our friendly instructors will have you stroking and gliding confidently across the ice.
From there, you can go as far as you like- backward skating, two-foot turns, edges, crossovers,
Mohawk turns, two-foot and one-foot spins, three turns, and even jumps.
Signing Up
- Download a registration form
- Complete the registration form
- Pay registration fees with Paypal or a check
- Bring the registration form and the check (if you didn't pay with Paypal) to the first day of class
Classes start promptly at 4:45 PM: Students should arrive no later than 4:30 to
rent skates if needed and put on their skates. Instructors will be on hand to assist you.
